NORTH SHORE, WAIKIKI PICK UP VICTORIES

Shintaro Yoshida singled home Mat Gamel from second base with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the North Shore Honu over the Honolulu Sharks, 3-2, last night in Hawaii Winter Baseball at Hans L'Orange Park.

With one out, Gamel beat out a single to first, took second when Jamie Romak grounded out to third and scored on Yoshida's single to left off Anthony Claggett (0-1), who pitched 1 2/3 innings for the Sharks (3-5).

Omar Aguilar (1-0) pitched a scoreless inning, allowing a hit for the Honu (6-2).

On Maui, the Waikiki BeachBoys exploded for five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to down the West Oahu CaneFires (2-6), 6-2, at Iron Maehara Stadium.

Kento Tsujimoto (1-0) allowed a hit and two walks with two strikeouts in a scoreless inning of relief for the BeachBoys (5-3).
