The Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association's Junior Tour Series will continue Oct. 13 and 14 at Kahili on Maui.

The series is designed as three tournaments in one, with winners crowned for the first round, second round, and 36 holes.

The series offers juniors from the respective islands a chance to experience an HSJGA event without incurring the usual travel expenses.

Additionally, they are designed to increase the opportunities that players have to earn a spot in the season-ending Ulupalakua Ranch Tournament of Champions, Dec. 1 and 2, at Wailea Golf Club.

Last weekend's JTS was played at Mauna Lani's North Course, with 80 golfers competing between the ages of 7 and 18.

Overall (36-hole) champions were: Henry Park and Kristina Merkle (15-18); Lorens Chan and Cassy Isagawa (13-14); Kalena Preus and Alexandra Kaui (11-12), and Jino Sohn and Mariel Galdiano (10-under).

Players can register for upcoming tournaments and the series of free clinics on each of the four major islands at http://hsjga.org. The clinics run Saturdays, beginning Oct. 13.
