KA'ANAPALI
Resort employees raise funds for Maui charities

Advertiser Staff

Employees at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas raised more than $12,000 for four Maui charities during a recent party to celebrate the resort's six-year anniversary.

The money will be used to "adopt" six Maui families under the Lokahi holiday giving program and to provide $1,000 donations each to Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Lahaina Seniors Center and the Maui Humane Society.

The money was raised through a silent auction and raffle at the party. Prizes and auction items included a travel package to attend tomorrow's University of Hawai'i Warrior football game against the University of Washington, and autographed footballs signed by coach June Jones and Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears.
