The holidays are on the horizon. That means it's time to line up your craft-fair plans, including the Mission Houses Museum's two-day annual Holiday Craft Fair. There will be a variety of locally made crafts, fine art, jewelry, quilts, ceramics, woodcarvings, clothing and more. Food booths and entertainment by slack-key artist Danny Carvalho and various hula halau will keep families smiling. All proceeds support educational programs at the museum.

British folk rock legend Richard Thompson returns for another Thanksgiving concert. Thompson was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the Top 20 guitarists of all time and is the recent recipient of an Ivor Novello Award for songwriting and the 2006 BBC Lifetime Achievement Award.

Diamond Head Theatre starts off the holiday season with the musical "Meet Me in St. Louis," the story of a happy family's anticipation of the 1904 World's Fair, complicated by a possible move to New York after the patriarch is promoted. Film fans will recall that Judy Garland starred in the 1944 musical that features songs such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door," "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "The Trolley Song."

The Derek Trucks Band brings its undeniable roots, rock and blues music on a four-island tour in support of their 2006 release "Songlines." The jazzy world-music group consists of Trucks (guitar), left, Mike Mattison (lead vocals), Kofi Burbridge (keyboards, flute and vocals), Todd Smallie (bass and vocals), and Yonrico Scott (drums, percussion and vocals). The band last performed here in 2003 as headliners for the Rhythm & Blues Mele at Hawaiian Hut. Special guest Papa Mali opens the show with his swamp-and-funk New Orleans style.

Singer/songwriter/musician/producer and Grammy Award winner Ziggy Marley brings his infectious sounds to O'ahu and Maui. In 2003 Marley broke out of the group Melody Makers for a solo career with his debut CD "Dragonfly," followed by "Love is My Religion," which won the Grammy for best reggae album. Marley is part of a daylong "Surf and Roots Fest" on O'ahu that also features Natural Vibrations, Ooklah the Moc and Irie Souls.

Join Makana, left, in celebration of his latest CD "Different Game," which combines slack key and fusion while exploring the complexities of relationships. He has toured with Santana, Sting, and Metallica's Kirk Hammett, and in 2006 his "Hawaiian Slack Key Kings" earned him a Grammy nomination. He was also honored with the Best World Music Album at the Hawai'i Music Awards for his self-titled debut album "Makana." For those 21 and older.

Legendary singer/songwriter Neil Sedaka performs his pop hits and holiday favorites in a pair of acoustic concerts. His classics include "Calendar Girl," "Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen," "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," "Laughter in the Rain" and "Love Will Keep Us Together."

New Jersey-based alternative pop punk quintet My Chemical Romance, which is touring in support of its 2006 platinum-selling concept CD "The Black Parade" marches into Blaisdell Arena. The Makaha Sons, right, present their holiday show "Christmas Memories" for the first time at the Sheraton Waikiki, singing favorites from their CD "Christmas Day in Hawai'i Nei." They have been awarded countless Na Hoku Hanohano awards and have released 21 CDs, including the latest, "Heke Wale No — Only the Very Best of The Makaha Sons." Joining the veteran music makers will be Hoku Zuttermeister, Leilani Bond, Willie K and Melveen Leed as Kealo Koko and Tunui's Royal Polynesians grace the stage with hula and dance.
