The Kahu 'Aina Art Competition is inviting Kaua'i students ages 5 to 18 to create art that celebrates Hawaiian plants.

Entries must portray a native plant or a Polynesian introduction. Entries are due from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 23 to 27 at the Kaua'i Children's Discovery Center and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 6 to 11 at Princeville Center, room B207.

A series of workshops during the summer will provide information on Hawaiian plants and growing them.
