The Moanalua High School Class of '09 will clean up the drainage ditch and surrounding areas fronting Salt Lake Elementary School on Saturday in its continuing Adopt-a-Stream project.

Up to 35 students plan to clear brush and pick up rubbish in the area, as well as plant native vegetation to minimize soil erosion. The project, part of the city-sponsored Adopt-a-Stream program, is a collaboration between the schools, city and state officials, and Geotech Solutions Inc.
