The first Box Car School Challenge sponsored by American Box Car Racing International will take place between teams from Kapolei and Radford high schools on May 18 at the ABCRI track in Kunia.

Practice will begin at 2 p.m., with the first races beginning at 4. The public is invited.

The track entrance is off of Kupuna Loop within the Royal Kunia Park & Ride. Look for the checkered flags.

The students built the cars at their respective industrial technology academies during the school year.
