MAPQUEST SENDS MAPS AND DIRECTIONS TO CELL PHONES

MapQuest’s “send to cell” service enables users to create detailed directions and maps at their desktop and send them to any Web-enabled cell phone for free. The service creates directions with shortest time, shortest distance, avoid tolls, avoid highways, reverse directions and multipoint routing and is available at www.mapquest.com. Users can search for places and create maps and directions on their home or office desktop, and send that information to their cell phones by clicking on the “Send to Cell” link on the www.MapQuest.com site. Then, while on the road, they can quickly access the information on their mobile device via a simple text link, and be directed to their turn by turn directions and detailed maps, all “right-sized” for their cell phones’ Web browser.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CITY?

Which U.S. city has the best architecture? Food? Nightlife? Shopping? Where's the best place to go for a romantic trip or a girlfriends' getaway?

Travel + Leisure magazine and CNN's Headline News want to know your opinion. They're asking travelers to rank their favorite cities in a survey available through July 15 at www.travelandleisure.com/afc or www.cnn.com/travel. The Web sites will also feature information about the cities.

The 25 cities included are Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Boston; Charleston, S.C.; Chicago; Dallas/Fort Worth; Denver; Honolulu; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Miami; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; New York; Orlando, Fla.; Philadelphia; Phoenix/Scottsdale; Portland, Ore.; San Antonio; San Diego; San Francisco; Santa Fe, N.M.; Seattle; and Washington, D.C.

The cities will be profiled by Travel + Leisure editors over the next 10 weeks on CNN's Headline News' morning show "Robin & Company," and viewers will be invited to submit their own pictures and videos of the cities through CNN.com's I-Report. Rankings will be announced Oct. 10 and will be reported in Travel + Leisure's November issue.
