Morgan stood out for Nanakuli

Nanakuli junior forward Chazmyne Morgan was selected as the O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Division Player of the Year in the first season the OIA split into White and Red divisions.

Morgan scored a division-high 14 goals against competition that included opponents from the East and West in the newly formed division.

"When we played her, I knew she was a big threat to score," Roosevelt coach Shaina Caporoz. "She's very talented. She was a standout."

Roosevelt, the East champ, dominated the White first team, with seven of the 12 first-team picks. Forward Christy Watanabe and midfielder Rachel Domingo, who tied for the East lead with six goals each, and midfielders Ashley Okazaki and Jenna Uyehara, defenders Karmen Ferreira and Sara Taketa and goalkeeper Joy Nakahara were its selections.

Waialua forward Ashley Carillo and defender Shantell Rivers, Campbell midfielder Rosalie White and McKinley defender Chelsie Sato were also first-team members.

Roosevelt's Caporoz was named the Coach of the Year.
