HILO, Hawai'i — The body of a man found in a burned car in Lower Puna Sunday has been identified as 21-year-old Tyrone Torres of Puna, police said yesterday.

Preliminary autopsy results released Tuesday found that Torres died of a single shotgun blast to the head.

Police charged a 17-year-old youth Tuesday with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, second-degree arson and unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. Police are not identifying the youth because he is a minor.

Torres and the youth knew each other, but police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
