Crime, drug and violence prevention and awareness are the main focus of an America's Night Out Against Crime celebration on Aug. 10.

Planned for 5 to 9 p.m. at the Hale Pono 'Ewa Beach Clubhouse, 91-884 Fort Weaver Road, the event will feature a Safe Haven Ohana Food Distribution, a Night Out Block Party and an Ewalution "movie on the wall."

The event is sponsored by the Hale Pono Ewa Beach Boys & Girls Clubhouse, Safe Haven and 'Ewa Weed & Seed. Neighborhood security watch and Citizens' Patrol teams from the Leeward, Makakilo, 'Ewa-'Ewa Beach, Kalihi/Palama/Chinatown and Waipahu areas also will take part in the event.
