Keith Kuraoka allegedly shot a suspected armed robber, Jason H. Sylva, 28, outside Kuraoka's home on March 24. Kuraoka was arrested, but released without being charged pending investigation. Authorities later obtained a warrant, searched Kuraoka's home and recovered crystal methamphetamine and a .22-caliber rifle, police said.
Kuraoka pleaded guilty Monday to ice and firearm charges. Kuraoka is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 15.
Police said Sylva was one of three men who had been trying to break into Kuraoka's home.
COLLISION INJURES MOTORCYCLIST
A 31-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured last night in a collision with a car on Ulune Street in 'Aiea.

TEENS ARRESTED WITH SUSPECT GUN
Police investigating shots fired at a public housing complex June 10 recovered a revolver suspected of being the firearm used in an earlier shooting in the parking lot of the 'Aiea Public Library.
Two 17-year-old boys were arrested in the June incident on suspicion of possession of a firearm and ammunition and for reckless endangering at an 'Aiea-area housing complex, police said. A .357 revolver recovered at the complex is believed to be the gun used in the May 21 incident in which 16-year-old Koamalu Edayan-Lindo was shot in the chest. The boy survived.
