The Hale'iwa Arts festival will mark its 10th anniversary when it is held in July, organizers said.
The nonprofit festival was started in 1998 as a way to help local artists and art advocates promote their work in their own backyard.
This year's event is scheduled for July 21-22 at Hale'iwa Beach Park with a theme of "Celebrate the Arts. Rediscover the Artist Within." It will include visual artists working in oil, acrylic, ceramic, photography, sculpture, watercolor, fabric, serigraphy, jewelry and glass, and local artists telling stories and performing original music and dance.
