Ko Olina Golf Club will host a free Play Golf America Demo Day Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the driving range. Representatives from Bridgestone, Callaway, Nickent, TourEdge and US Kids will be on hand to offer information and provide their latest clubs and equipment for participants to test.

The event coincides with American Express Women's Golf Week at Ko Olina. The national program, sponsored by the Play Golf America, is designed to bring more women into the game.

Ko Olina has also announced five new Junior Golf programs for this summer, including a Parent-Child Tournament the first week of August. Programs begin Monday and run through the end of July, for golfers 7 to 17. Junior lessons include the use of golf clubs and range balls. Reservations are required one day prior.

The Junior Golf Play and Learn program runs Monday to Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. It is designed for beginners and led by PGA pros. Parents can sign up juniors for one lesson or a series. The price is $40 per session, $35 for additional siblings or friends booked at the same time.

A Supervised On-course Playing Program is also available weekdays, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants walk up to nine holes with a Ko Olina Golf Academy professional, who provides instruction and supervision. Juniors must be golf-course ready and understand rules, etiquette and pace of play. Cost is $75 per session, $60 for additional siblings or friends.

Family Golf Lessons can be scheduled weekdays by appointment. The 90-minute session costs $150 for one parent and one child, and $25 for additional students.

Finally, a free Junior Short Game Challenge is scheduled Fridays, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
