KAILUA
Board members to be sworn in
Advertiser Staff
New members will be sworn in and new officers elected when the Kailua Neighborhood Board holds its regular monthly meeting today at the Kailua Recreation Center.
It is the board's first official meeting since a hotly contested election in May, when most incumbent members won re-election despite challenges from others discontented with the board's strong stance against illegal transient vacation rental operations in the suburban community.
The board also will take up motions to oppose proposed city fee increases for trash collection and to support a liquor license for California Pizza Kitchen.
