Ty Sing Chow has resigned as Kamehameha Schools softball coach after seven seasons at the helm, according to a statement released yesterday.
The statement cited "time with his family" as the reason for stepping down.
Sing Chow guided the Warriors to a 101-16-1 record, including four Interscholastic League of Honolulu championships, five state tournament appearances and a state title in 2002.
"Ty and his staff brought excellence on and off the field and he brought a winning attitude to our program," said Kamehameha assistant athletic director Erv Kau.
No replacement has been named.
"I am forever grateful for the opportunity to coach at the varsity level at such a prestigious school," Sing Chow said in the statement. "I'm also very thankful for the support from the entire athletic department from the trainers, bus drivers to our grounds crew. I will miss being part of this wonderful 'ohana."
