PUPUKEA
Park restroom project ending

Advertiser Staff

The city is wrapping up a restroom makeover project at Pupukea Beach Park at Sharks Cove.

Work on the comfort station includes repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, painting, applying a sealant to make the facility easier to clean and other minor repairs. Skylights will be installed by the end of July to brighten the interior.

The work is being done under the Just-In-Time maintenance program under which city crews perform the work on designated parks or facilities. Makeovers have been done at Ala Moana, Poka'i Bay, Ma'ili and Waimanalo beach parks. The next makeover will be at Queen's Surf in Waikiki.
