Firefighters late last night were responding to reports of brushfires on Wa'ahila Ridge above St. Louis Heights and in Manoa Valley near the University of Hawai'i.

At 10:45 p.m., the Wa'ahila brushfire was not reported to be threatening any homes. But the fire was moving down-slope and firefighters were trying to get close to the fire.
