McKinley senior Chelsie Sato has been one of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's top basketball players the past three years.
Now, she has an official top honor to prove it.
Sato, a 5-6 guard, was named OIA White Conference Player of the Year after a vote of league coaches. She averaged 15.5 points per game — including 19 in the championship game — in helping the Tigers (14-1) win the White Conference title.
Sato is joined on the OIA White All-Star first team by Campbell's Jasmine "Oli" Kila and Jennifer Sweeney, Wai'anae's Danielle Lovell and Waialua's Chelsey Ramirez.
McKinley's Bob Morikuni was named Coach of the Year.
