The move from Division I to Division II proved to be a good one for Sacred Hearts, as the Lancers captured the Interscholastic League of Honolulu DII championship.
It also helped Sacred Hearts senior Nalani Bayne earn Player of the Year honors after a vote of league coaches.
Bayne, a 5-7 forward, averaged 10.2 points per game, including a season-high 20 in a crucial victory over Punahou.
She is joined on the ILH DII all-star first team by fellow Lancer Raecha-Ann Kauahikaua, Christian Academy's Ashley Medcalf, St. Francis' Danielle Tanaka, Minna Watanabe of St. Andrew's and La Pietra's Sarah Peoples.
Sacred Hearts' Alan Matsui was named Coach of the Year.
