TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Catch Me If You Can" (2002), 7 p.m., ABC. In real life, Frank Abagnale Jr. was a master imposter. He became a pilot, a lawyer, a doctor; he had no qualifications and much charm. That story is retold here by Hollywood's best. Stephen Spielberg directed Leonardo DiCaprio, with Tom Hanks as the FBI pursuer and John Williams adding a sprightly score that matches the 1960s setting. The result is a pristine pleasure.
OF NOTE
"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. This rerun comes shortly after we met Ziva, the tough Israeli agent. Her first case requires figuring out how a modern body ended up in a Civil War casket.
"The Naked Brothers Band," 6:00 p.m., Nickelodeon. Polly Draper is an actress and director best known for "thirtysomething." Michael Wolff, her husband, is a musician. It's probably no surprise that their sons (Nat, 12, and Alex, 9) have charm and musical talent. Draper directed this fake documentary about their pop-rock band, and included brief bits by family friends, including Uma Thurman, Julianne Moore and Arsenio Hall. Next Saturday, the family launches a Nickelodeon series.
"The Grifters" (1990), 8 p.m., i network (formerly Pax). Stephen Frears is currently drawing raves for his great work in directing "The Queen." Here's an earlier, much-praised film, about scam artists. Anjelica Huston, John Cusack and Annette Bening star.
"Without a Trace," 8 p.m., CBS. Two teens, one black and one white, have disappeared at the same time, in this rerun. The press — and, for a while, the team — focuses mainly on the white kid.
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Rapper-actor Ludacris does double duty in this rerun as the host and the musical guest.
