LOOKING AHEAD: Keith & Carmen Haugen & Friends' "Peace on Earth" Christmas concert at the Kapi'olani Park Bandstand was such a success, the couple already has booked a 2007 hana hou, with the yuletide performance set for Dec. 19, same place. Some of their fans suggest that more "friends" be added and a run over two, maybe even three, days — which will be considered. Nothing like planning ahead. ...

And The Brothers Cazimero definitely will return to the Hawai'i Theatre next December, likely to build a tradition of a holiday show in the revered downtown space. Presumably, theater manager Burton White will again produce; dates likely won't be revealed till much later. If this Christmas thing takes root at the Hawai'i, Robert and Roland Cazimero will have two "annuals" each year — the other being Lei Day on May 1 at the Waikiki Shell. Nothing succeeds like, well, success; last year's three-night stand was a sellout....

PERSONALITIES: Singer Pat Boone ("Ain't That a Shame," "Love Letters in the Sand") dined on mahimahi with macadamia nuts when he gathered with family and friends at Jameson's By The Sea in Kailua, Kona. ...

Now there are two Halls in the national touring company of the Broadway hit "Wicked." Local boy Cliffton Hall, who joined the ensemble last year, told Island pal Michael Bright that his wife, DeeDee Magno Hall, has assumed the role of Nessarose in the show, now at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island. Next stop: Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre in Maryland, starting Jan. 24. ...

HITHER 'N' YON: We received a sweet note from Hawaiiana expert Nona Beamer and are happy to report that she's as good as it gets, considering her earlier health issues dating back to her 2005 bypass surgery. She was sending mahalo for our mention of her in our annual Christmas column and she has gratitude galore — and writes in, ahem, hip jargon, mostly because the shorthand minimizes her effort. For instance: "So grateful 2 b well & w/ fam. Keola & Moana (that's son Keola Beamer and his wife, Moana) live in Lahaina. Kapono & wife (that's son Kapono Beamer and spouse Dayna) came & grandson Kamana & his sweetheart, Laua'e Murphy ... so proud of him teaching at UH Manoa & working on his PhD. Nona's Aloha Music Camp is in its seventh year now; Keola helps direct. Sessions will be in February, May and June, at Kaupoa, Moloka'i. The May camp will honor the late kumu John Ka'imikaua and his Halau Hula O Kukunaokala, with his widow, Ka'oi carrying the banner. ...

Out Maui way, the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina is updating its memorabilia collection, with the installation of Elvis Presley's Harley Davidson hat, Jerry Garcia's Hawaiian aloha shirt and a dress worn by Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks. The kick-off is 7 p.m. Jan. 21, with California-based ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) performing live at 9 p.m. Admission is $8. ALO is signed to Jack Johnson's Brushfire label and the group will also donate memorabilia. Fans will have an opportunity to win a Gibson guitar signed by group members Zach Gill, Dan Lebowitz, Steve Adams and David Brogan. For for a limited time, Hard Rock fans can buy a Memorabilia Redecoration Pin, with part of the proceeds going to Hui Malama Learning Center. ...

FINALLY: Entertainer Glenn Pinho apparently underwent quadruple bypass surgery after Thanksgiving at Tripler Army Medical Center. His brother, Kirtley Pinho, who lives on Majuro, in the Marshall Islands, said the singer was expecting a long recovery period. So wish him well. ...
