"TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR MONEY," a free 16-part series of televised money management classes offered by the University of Hawai'i, Cooperative Extension Service, 8-9 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 11 to May 3, on local television stations. Topics include financial basics; understanding insurance; retirement and estate planning; planning for a higher education; divorce financial issues; Medicare and Social Security, and caregiving issues. Viewer's Guide schedules, handouts and Internet information are available for a small fee. Stations include channels 55 on Oceanic (O'ahu); Na Leo (Big Island); Ho'ike (Kaua'i) and MCCTV (Maui, Moloka'i and Lana'i).
