Blessing today at ag complex

The University of Hawai'i-Hilo's Komohana Agricultural Complex will host a groundbreaking and blessing for a new research wing today at 875 Komohana St.
The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources does research to support Hawai'i agriculture. It also houses the Hilo office of the Cooperative Extension Service, which educates farmers, home gardeners and others in the community in plant and animal agriculture and other disciplines.
The $14 million state-funded expansion will also involve renovations to existing portions of the Komohana complex. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
