$1,000 fines for selling liquor to minors

Kikuya Japanese Restaurant and Royal Yakiniku Restaurant each were fined $1,000 by the Honolulu Liquor Commission last week for selling liquor to minors.

At the Nov. 29 meeting, the commission also:

  • Continued until Dec. 20 a case against Club Golden Gate for alleged violations that included three fondling violations and three alleged violations of employee consumption of liquor.

  • Continued for one month the alleged violations by Bikini Cantina LLC for selling liquor to minors.

    During the public hearings portion of the meeting, the commission also:

  • Approved the application from SSH Investments Inc., 1414 Dillingham Blvd., for the transfer of the business and retail general license of Yung Kon Jang (dba Mona's Market).

  • Approved the application from Ki Jong Han for the transfer of the business and retail general license of Chi Young Shin (dba Huali Market), 1611 Lusitana St.

  • Approved the application from Soon Nyo LLC for the transfer of the business and retail general license of Hill Top Liquor Inc., 94-307 Farrington Highway, and for a change of trade name to Hill Top Grocery & Liquor.

  • Approved the application from YOUNGJUN Inc. for the transfer of the business and retail general license of David & Kum Inc. (dba Whitmore Mini Mart), 1203 Whitmore Ave.

  • Approved the application from Murphy's Inc., 2 Merchant St., for a dispenser general license.

  • Approved the application from Donato's Restaurants Inc. (dba Pasta & Basta), Waterfront Plaza, for a restaurant beer and wine license.

  • Approved the application from Design Club Inc., 2119 Lau'ula St., for a change in license category and for a change of trade name to Design Club Inc.

  • Approved the application from KDJS Venture LLC (dba Therapy Sports Grill), Koko Marina Center, for a restaurant general license.

    During the preliminary hearings, license and requests portion of the meeting, the commission:

  • Approved the application from Aquamarine LLC (dba Hoku Nai'a) for a tour or cruise vessel license at Wai'anae Boat Harbor.
