The North Shore Festival that heralds the arrival of the annual big-wave winter surf season will take place from noon to 10 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 at Hale'iwa Beach Park.

Featuring live music, cultural performances and a feature film, the event also will host a dozen food booths, locally grown and handmade products, community displays and an interactive Keiki Village.

The festival signals the start of professional surfing, including the longest running big-wave event, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, from Nov. 12 to Dec. 20.
