We know you — you've already switched to a canvas grocery bag and drive an economy car. What about disposing of your disposable coffee filter? Get a reusable one at the hardware store, online or at your favorite kitchenware store. Executive Chef's gold-basket, reusable filters range $17.50 to $31.95 and last as long as your coffee habit.

A SECRET: YOU CAN ROAST OR GRILL FRUITS, TOO
Make fruits and vegetables mouth-watering delicious by grilling or roasting them. Seasoned with a little olive oil, salt and pepper, then tossed on the grill for a few minutes, vegetables will taste sweet and sumptuous. Use any vegetable, from asparagus or bell peppers to corn and potatoes. But the real secret is grilled and roasted fruits: Try an apple banana sprinkled with cinnamon under the broiler, or grilled peaches, nectarines and mangoes brushed with lemon juice or sugar for great desserts.

FINAL WORD
"I always felt like everyone else was totally confident and I was the only one who wasn't. I wish I'd known that everyone else was just as afraid as I was."
