Haleakala National Park will hold two special summer evening programs at the Hosmer Grove campground this month, in addition to the naturalist programs offered from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily at the summit.

"Migration Across the Pacific Ocean: How the First People came to Hawai'i" will be held Saturday, with a "Hawaiian Navigation" star program to be conducted Aug. 25.

Both programs will run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The park entrance fee is $10 per vehicle for a three-day pass, or $25 for an annual pass. The programs are free.
