Adults are invited to join the new Kahuku Public & School Library Book Club when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

Featured will be "Purple Hibiscus" by Chimamanda Adichie. Anna Marie Christiansen will lead a discussion on this book, which tells the story of two teens growing up in Nigeria who must learn to conform to two extreme lifestyles.

Future meeting times for the book club will be decided by the participants. Registration is requested; call the library at 293-8935 to register.

The book club meeting will be conducted in the library's Conference Room. The library is at 56-490 Kamehameha Highway.
