The Hawai'i HomeOwnership Center will hold a series of free orientation sessions for prospective homebuyers. The center is a nonprofit organization that provides homebuyer education and counseling to help people prepare to buy a home.

The Hilo meetings will be at 6 p.m. Friday and Aug. 31 and Sept. 28 at the Office of Housing & Community Development, 1990 Kino'ole St., Suite 104.

Kona sessions are scheduled for 9 and 11 a.m., Aug. 25, at the Mayor's Office, 75-5706 Kuakini Highway, Suite 103, Kailua.
