Kaua'i Made program lauded

The county's Kaua'i Made program, designed to help promote products produced on the island, has won two 'Ilima Awards from the Hawai'i Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
The 'Ilima program recognizes business communications in a number of categories. Kaua'i Made won for its logo and its Web site, www.kauaimade.net.
Beth Tokioka, director of the county's Office of Economic Development, credited consultant Star Seigle Communications and a county advisory council for development of the products.
Kaua'i Made has 77 participants who produce food, crafts and other items.
