Developers of the 475-home Kahiwelo subdivision near the bottom of Makakilo Drive will give a presentation of their project at the monthly meeting of the Makakilo/Kapolei/ Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board at 7 p.m. today at the Kapolei High School cafetorium.

The Schuler Division of national homebuilder D.R. Horton is placing the project on 150 acres mauka of St. Jude Catholic Church.

The project requires no more major land-use approvals. Grading work has begun, and the first homes are to be done in April 2008.

Some Makakilo residents say they're worried about the traffic the project will bring.
