Likelike Highway will be closed in the Kane'ohe-bound direction from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily through tomorrow.

The state Department of Transportation said the closure is needed to allow for a repaving project on the Kane'ohe side of the Wilson Tunnels. The $3.5 million project will resurface all the highway lanes from the tunnels to Kamehameha Highway in Kane'ohe.

Kane'ohe-bound motorists are asked to use H-3 Freeway and Pali Highway as alternative routes and to allow for extra travel time.

Single-lane closures also will be in effect in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Kahekili Highway.
