Motorists traveling along Farrington Highway on the Wai'anae Coast are being advised by the state Department of Transportation to beware of lane closures this week westbound between Hakimo Road and Kaukama Road.

The road closures are being done so that highway crews can conduct drainage maintenance operations. The work will be ongoing daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, the Transportation Department said.

The safety improvement project will be done weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to use caution and to allow for extra travel time while driving through the area.
