He was the chapter's Professional of the Year and won the Southwest Section PGA Junior Golf Leader award three times.
Henderson begins Monday.

KO OLINA DEMO DAY
Ko Olina Golf Club will host a free Play Golf America Demo Day April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the driving range. Representatives from Titleist/Cobra, Nike, Ping, and TaylorMade will be there to offer information and provide their latest equipment for participants to test.
In conjunction with Play Golf America's "Free Fitting and Trade-in Month" in April, PGA professionals and instructors from Ko Olina Golf Academy will offer free 15-minute club fitting assessments during the Demo Day. Golfers can also log on to www.playgolfamerica.com and sign up for free fitting assessments throughout the month. As an added incentive, every golfer who experiences a free fitting session and sends in a PGA Free Fitting & Trade-Up card is entered for a chance to win an Ultimate Fitting Experience at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Golfers who want to upgrade equipment can trade in old clubs with the PGA Trade-in Network and receive cash or credit for new clubs. Ko Olina Golf Club is an authorized trade-in facility, which means golfers can apply the credit toward new golf clubs in the golf shop. Golfers can log on to www.tradein.pga.com to learn more about this program, find the value of golf clubs, and make arrangements to trade in clubs for cash or credit.
Also on April 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Ko Olina golf shop is having its Spring Sidewalk Sale. Discounts of 30 to 75 percent will be available.
For more information, call the shop (676-5300) or visit www.koolinagolf.com.
TURTLE BAY JUNIORS
Turtle Bay Golf will begin its year-long junior golf program in June. The program will consist of five 6-week sessions throughout the year with the first session beginning June 9.
The junior golf program will be held Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and is open to all juniors between the ages of 6 and 17.
The Turtle Bay Junior Golf Program will focus on introducing the game of golf to beginners and sharpening the skills of those who are more experienced. The program will be divided into four skill levels, giving each student a chance to move up through the program.
All basic aspects of golf will be covered through games, activities and on-course instruction, including short game, full swing, rules and etiquette.
"Our junior golf program will be a great place for kids to have fun, meet new friends, and build self-confidence," said Kellan Anderson, Turtle Bay assistant pro and one of the lead instructors.
Entry fee for the first 6-week session is $100 per student. That includes a golf shirt, hat, free range balls, prizes and a Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association membership. Entry fees for additional sessions will be $40 for returning students.
Instructors for the program will be assistant pros Tad Fujimaki, Mark Kreytak and Anderson. Applications are available at the Turtle Bay Golf Shop. Call 293-8574.
