Maui County is seeking a director and deputy director to head the new Department of Environmental Management created by voters in the 2006 election.

Effective July 1, the department will oversee two units currently managed by the Department of Public Works and Environmental Management: the Solid Waste Division, which includes abandoned vehicles, landfills, garbage collection and recycling; and the Wastewater Division.
