E-BIKINIS

Local swimsuit company Pualani Hawai'i, which may have the best bottoms ever created — the low-slung, butt-enhancing Rio model — is now selling its goods online. Check out the new line, including this polka-dots-are-hot version. Owner-designer Iwalani Isbell, who works with manufacturers in Colombia, has a knack for color and line. You can mix and match fabrics, styles and sizes. And don't miss the sale corner — get last year's stuff at up to 70 percent off. Go to www.pualanihawaii.com.

KAWAII CORNER

Mozzarella, tokidoki's machine-gun-wielding cow ($30.95), greets customers at Urbanz Toys, the brainchild of toy-addicted Kathy Bachlott and Scott Nonaka. Tired of Mainland shopping trips and mad shipping costs, the collectors set up shop four months ago in Kaimuki — Honolulu's plastic-collectible kingdom. The groovy vinyl toys are snapped up by everyone from kindergartners (dragged by parents who think beyond Barbie) to 80-year-old grandmas (they go for Donut key chains, $3.95). The fastest-selling toys are "blind box" items (the buyer doesn't know what she's getting) such as Kidrobot's aerosol-head figures ($6.95) designed by 18 artists from around the world. More slick upscale women's shoe store in look than the usual clutterbox, Urbanz ToysUrbanz Toys lets the intriguing designs have room to breath. Though still in the doodling stages, Bachlott and Nonaka hope to add their own line — inspired by New York and Hong Kong sensibilities — to the world of alternative toys.
