Leave it to Frank DeLima (and his writer, Patrick Downes) to parody the heated Senate election battle between incumbent Dan Akaka and challenger Ed Case. To the tune of the theme song to "Green Acres," DeLima sings about the veteran and the wannabe, "Da Senate is the place for me," reflecting the gentleness of Akaka and the slickness of Case in his delivery.
Aired by some radio stations, the tune is not available for purchase. DeLima said he doesn't know if either candidate has heard the ditty. "In my mind, it was a natural to have fun. ... The race is so tense," he said. He'll be voting in the primary today, but won't say for whom.

SIMPSON FEELS 'HUMBLED' BY ROLE
LONDON — Ashlee Simpson says she relates to her role as fame-hungry Roxie Hart in the London run of the musical "Chicago." She's been there, done that.
"The play is absolutely all about celebrity and wanting to be famous and having your name in the papers and your picture in the papers," the 21-year-old singer-actress told AP Radio in a recent interview. "And, in that sense, it's been kind of cool because I've really got to connect to that, because I've seen that world and been in that world."
Simpson, whose 2004 debut album "Autobiography" was a hit despite her "Saturday Night Live" lip-synching snafu, called her role "extremely humbling."
