ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
'Fanaa' screens at Duke theater

Advertiser Staff and News Services

There are certain things you can count on from a great Bollywood flick. There will be music ... heck, pretty much start-to-end-credits music.

The main plot and half-dozen subplots will be so over the top, you'll find exploding helicopters, terrorist hits, romantic clutches and goofy dance numbers within minutes of each other. And the whole thing takes about three hours to run its loopy fantasy course.

With that in mind, enjoy "Fanaa (Destroyed In Love)," about a beautiful blind girl (perfect Bollywood fodder) at 1 and 7:30 p.m. today at the Doris Duke Theatre. Bring a date who finds this kind of stuff darn hot.
