SEATTLE RALLIES BY HPU
Seattle scored four second-half goals to rally past Hawai'i Pacific, 4-1, yesterday in a men's match at HPU's Atherton Field.
Pat Thomas scored two goals for Seattle (5-2).
Akihide Adachi scored at the 16-minute mark and Christian Nilsson made seven saves as HPU (2-2) led 1-0 at the half.
"It was good for us to see where we stood with one of the better teams in the region," said HPU coach Frank Doyle. "We may have been a little winded playing our third match in four days, but our guys need to learn to do it because we'll do it again later in the season."

HAWAI'I PAIR FINISH 1-2
Hawai'i's Riley McKibbin and Jacob Jenkins finished the 2006 SWATCH-FIVB Under-19 World Championships with a 1-2 pool play record at Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda.
The threat of Tropical Storm Florence forced organizers to push up the schedule. Pool play and the first and second rounds of single elimination were completed Friday. Semifinals and finals finished Saturday.
McKibbin and Jenkins lost their final pool-play match, 19-21, 17-21, to Jesus Castizo and Sergio Del Pino of Spain Friday. The other U.S. boys team, from California, went 0-3.
