The 13th annual amateur skate contest — sponsored by T&C Skateboards and Ezekiel Clothing — is scheduled for Oct. 29 at Manana Skate Park in Pearl City.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m., followed by the contest at 9 a.m.

Division include 13 and under, 14 to 17, 18 and over, and sponsored. Prizes and trophies will be awarded.

Scheduled to make an appearance are Ezekiel Team riders Louie Barletta, Jason Wakuzawa and Sean Conover.

Applications are available at T&C Surf stores, online at TC Surf.com and at the contest. Participants under 18 must have a legal parent or guardian sign their entry forms.

RUNNING

XTERRA SCRAMBLE SET

The Xterra Makena Beach Scramble trail run is scheduled for Oct. 28 starting at the Maui Prince Hotel, Makena Resort.

The scramble, which begins at 8 a.m., consists of a 5-kilometer fun run and a 10-kilometer run.

The 10-kilometer takes participants on the Nissan Xterra World Championship trail that the pros will run the following day.

Seven age divisions run from 9-under to 60-older.

The fee is $25.

In conjunction with the XTerra Foundation, proceeds go to the Aloha United Way and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui County.

FOIL TOURNEY OCT. 22

The Fall Foil Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 22 at Kilauea District Park.

Divisions are boys and girls 8 to 12 years old, junior boys and girls for ages 13 to 19 and a division for 13 and older.
