Bop to the world beat of Ozomatli
Advertiser Staff and News Services
Having a tough time finding a good conga line? Ozomatli feels your pain. Maybe that's why the Los Angeles-based multiethnic collective returns to Honolulu each year. That, or perhaps because local fans still dig Ozo's crazy danceable fusion of Latin, salsa, hip-hop, rock, reggae, Middle Eastern and, now, dirty pop after all these years. The famous band-directed conga line will still conclude tonight's outdoor show at Aloha Tower Marketplace's Events at the Tower venue (formerly Kapono's). "That's the best part of the show," said drummer Jiro Yama-guchi. "People love it and it's a good time. What's not to like?" At 8 p.m., $23; tickets at (866) 468-3399 or www.ticketweb.com.

FOR ANIMAL LOVERS
KEEP PETS COMFORTABLY GROOMED
When seasons change, furry friends grow thicker coats and shed summer fur. To control this natural process, Bamboo offers dog and cat de-shedding combs with a metal blade to easily remove loose, dead hair from the topcoat and undercoat. The grip is padded for comfort, and the combs are in a convenient size suitable for large or tight grooming areas, as well as for multiple pets. $13.99. Available at pet stores nationwide; to locate a retailer near you, see www.bamboopet.com or call (877) 224-7387.
