Former Honolulu IT girl Blaine Ashley Hite now lives and works in Los Angeles as a stylist and sales representative for up-and-coming fashion design firms.

She takes her trend-spotting tasks seriously. Here's her latest list of ins and outs for summer 2006:

IN

  • The perfect white dress.

  • Big, billowy tops in neutral tones.

  • Ultra-skinny pants.

  • Pencil dresses.

  • Gladiator sandals.

  • Neutral laces (cream, tan, peach, pale pink).

  • '50s-inspired colors (cherry popsicle red, mint green, " '50s bathroom" blue, banana vintage yellow).

    EASING OUT

  • Sailor stripes.

  • Cropped jeans and cropped pants.

  • Shrugs.

    WAY OUT

  • Boho chic.

  • Cuffed mini shorts.

  • Metallics.

  • Studded belts.

  • Peasant skirts.

    PLUS-SIZE BRAS

A woman who wears bra size 32A may find this hard to believe: It's not easy being a 52DD — it can be a major challenge to find the bra size.

Now full-figured gals can head to Morgan Beret Fine Lingerie & Bed Linen in Kahala Mall, where they carry two new lines with hard-to-find sizes, Goddess and Fantasie of England. Sizes range from 34 to 56 in B to JJ cups.

Goddess is known for its comfortable no-wire bras and supportive strapless styles, as well as an engineered sports bra that shapes instead of smooshes. The high-fashion, feminine fabrics come in quiet, neutral colors.

Fantasie of England makes a seamless T-shirt bra as well as bras in feminine fabrics, trims, mesh and embroidery in colors that pop: hot pink, plum and deep purple, for example.
