An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were arrested Tuesday in connection with a gunpoint robbery reported by a 22-year-old man.

The man told police he was walking along Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City when two people approached him about 4:30 p.m., pointed a handgun at his face and demanded money.

Police said the man confronted the two would-be robbers and they ran away.

Police were called and located the two suspects a short time later.

The two were arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
