The Warriors earned the ILH's only state tournament berth. The Buffanblu were the two-time defending state champions.

The Rams, the West's top seed, led 17-15 at halftime. Radford plays Kalaheo in the semifinals on Thursday at Mililani.

FOOTBALL

12 HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS TO GET SCHOLARSHIPS

Twelve Hawai'i high school seniors will be honored tomorrow as outstanding football scholar-athletes for the 2005-06 academic year.

Each of the honorees will receive a $1,000 scholarship provided by friends of football in the community.

The event will be held 6 p.m. at the Monarch Room of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

In addition, veteran coaches Alex Kane and Masa Yonamine will be recognized for their lifelong service to high school football in Hawai'i.

Also, football booster Herbert Kaopua will receive the inaugural Earl Galdeira Community Service Award for his outstanding support of high school and college football in Hawai'i.

Each honoree is a senior who achieved outstanding results as a football player and team leader during his high school career, achieved at least a 3.0 grade-point average in high school and made significant contributions to the community through church, community groups or similar volunteer service.
