TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: After the Storm," 7 p.m., ABC. Michele Gross and Paul Costa were set for their wedding last summer in New Orleans. Then Hurricane Katrina hit and they had to postpone. The wedding was rescheduled for a month later in Florida — where Hurricane Wilma caused another postponement. That's when the "Makeover" people stepped in. They arranged a new wedding, led by party-planner Colin Cowie. They also brought in the relatives and had trumpeter Chris Botti play the music. That's one of this week's stories, from Florida. Another involves Essie Reed, known fondly as Big Mama. Despite her own low income, Reed often provides food, clothes and shelter for others. After Wilma, she fired up her barbecue and reportedly fed thousands. Now the crew gives her some new facilities. In the process, it hired local people who had been left unemployed by the storm.

OF NOTE

"Fargo" (1996), 6 p.m., Bravo. Here's another chance to catch this quiet masterpiece about a pregnant police officer trying to solve some murders and a kidnapping. It won well-deserved Oscars for actress France McDormand and for the script by Joel Coen (who also directed) and his brother, Ethan.

"Survivor," 7 p.m., CBS. After a basketball break, the show returns to its regular slot. Tonight, the two tribes merge.

"Will & Grace," 7 p.m., NBC. Not many shows manage to include pop star Britney Spears and acerbic comedian Wanda Sykes in the same half-hour. The gay cable network has been bought by a big-money corporation, which promptly adds Amber-Louise (Spears) as host on Jack's talk show. Meanwhile, Karen wants to pay a makeup person (Sykes) to carry a baby for her.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. A 12-year-old girl has confessed to murder but officials don't believe her.

"The Office," 8:30 p.m., NBC. To celebrate his birthday, Michael takes the office workers to an ice-skating party.

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. Sheryl Lee Ralph and Ernie Hudson play Gallant's parents, arriving to talk to Neela. Meanwhile, Kovac considers returning to Africa to help Carter. Also, staffers have trouble establishing what happened after a car accident leaves a teen couple hospitalized.

"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. After a bike messenger disappears, new questions emerge.
