TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Monk" season finale, 10 p.m., USA Network. Stop and think of all the reasons Adrian Monk might be rejected for jury duty. He's a former police detective and now a consultant with the cops. He also has phobias about almost everything done by other humans. He wouldn't thrive among 11 strangers in a jury room. Still, Monk has been accepted for a jury looking at a robbery case. Things get more complicated when a body is dumped outside the courthouse. This hour could be fun.

OF NOTE

"Paddy Whacked," 6 p.m., History Channel. Now for an odd St. Pat's choice: A history of organized crime among Irish-Americans.

"Doctor Who," 7 and 8 p.m., Sci Fi Channel. This British show, about a time-traveling doctor, has long been a cult favorite. It goes back to 1963, with at least seven previous actors doing major stretches as the star. Now the BBC has created a new version with Christopher Eccleston. Billie Piper plays his companion Rose. Sci Fi has bought rights to these 13 episodes (and others, if there are any) and premieres two tonight.

"The Luck of the Irish" (2001), 8 p.m., Disney Channel. A teenager (Ryan Merriman) suddenly has a surge of good luck. But his parents are gradually turning smaller and greener. This movie is surprisingly enjoyable.

"In Justice," 8 p.m., ABC. A young couple has been convicted. But now an anonymous tip plants doubt.

"Las Vegas," 8 p.m., NBC. Mary is supposed to plan a big wedding for a high-roller. Meanwhile, Ed and Danny are tracking two unusual card-counters. Mike is attracted to a woman — unaware that she's in town for the Born Again Virgins convention. Former "American Idol" contestant Tamyra Gray guest stars.

"Conviction," 9 p.m., NBC. Potter (Jordan Bridges) hands over a case to someone else without telling him that he witnessed part of the crime. Meanwhile, Peluso must try a woman on drug charges when her grandson was actually the dealer.
