If you love a parade, you shouldn't miss tomorrow's grand procession of floats and performers on Kalakaua Avenue. It's the topper of the annual Honolulu Festival, which aims to share cultural values among Hawai'i and Pacific Rim peoples.

The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. at Lewers Street.

Other festival highlights include a quilt exhibit from Japan (10 a.m.-7 p.m. today, 10 a.m.4 p.m. tomorrow at the Hawai'i Convention Center); and a discussion of Ranald MacDonald, the first American to visit Japan (10:30 a.m. today in the convention center's third-floor amphitheater, room 310).
