TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Last Comic Standing," 8 p.m., NBC. As last week's episode ended, stand-up comedians got a surprise: There are 12 finalists, not 10. Now comes another surprise: This year, those 12 won't be in the usual mansion. They'll live on the Queen Mary, the former oceanliner now anchored in California. Tonight, we see what the "Last Comic" people say is their best challenge — heckling.

"Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," 6 and 8 p.m., Bravo. Speaking of stand-ups, the new episode shows a tough task. Griffin, who often does celebrity material, works Iraq soldiers who aren't up on all the Brad-and-Angelina gossip.

OF NOTE

"Fear Factor," 7 p.m., NBC. Four teams, made up of stars from other reality shows, remain. In tonight's first stunt, they must make a rescue from a burning houseboat. In the second, each woman is submerged in a bug-filled box.

"House," 7 and 8 p.m., Fox. Two strong reruns air back-to-back. In the first, a college student collapses during a drinking contest. In the second, a young bike-racer collapses.

"Queer Eye," 7 and 9 p.m., Bravo. The guys make over a poker player.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. Some 30 years ago, four boys disappeared. When the body of a child is found, the case is revived.

"Tuesday Night Book Club," 9 p.m., CBS. This reality show's opener showed some unusual moments in the relationship between Lynn and Eddie. Married less than a year, they fight often. Lynn (a speech pathologist) is quick to remind Eddie (a firefighter) that she makes more money. Tonight, Lynn is entering a fitness competition and is reluctant to tell her husband that her former boyfriend will be there.
