McLachlin ties for second at Knoxville

Hawai'i's Parker McLachlin closed with a 3-under-par 69 yesterday and finished in a tie for second place, five shots behind winner Hunter Haas in the Nationwide Tour's Knoxville, Open at Knoxville, Tenn.
McLachlin and Gary Christian, who shot a final-round 66, were tied at 14-under 274.
Haas won this tournament for the second time in three years, closing with a 3-under 69 for a 19-under 269 total at he Fox Den Country Club course. Haas earned $85,500 to jump from 47th to 10th on the money list with $127,028, with the top 20 at the end of the season earning 2007 PGA Tour cards.
McLachlin, a Punahou School and UCLA alum, earned $41,800 and moved from 15th to ninth place on the money list.
